Jang, who spoke at a town hall meeting at Angware, headquarters of Jos East Local Government Area said he is suspicious of the delay in giving the PVCs to potential electorate advising the INEC Chairman; Prof. Attahiru Jega should beware before he soils his reputation.

With less than two to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, Plateau State Governor and flagbearer of the PDP for Plateau North Senatorial District, Jonah Jang has berated the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for insisting on the use of Permanent Voters’ Card and the Card Reader, despite hitches.

Jang, who spoke at a town hall meeting at Angware, headquarters of Jos East Local Government Area said he is suspicious of the delay in giving the PVCs to potential electorate advising the INEC Chairman; Prof. Attahiru Jega should beware before he soils his reputation.

Addressing his Party supporters whom he urged to vote the Party’s candidates in the forthcoming elections, he stressed that the INEC Chairman performed well in the 2011 general elections so he should consolidate on the achievements and desist from act which could put the nation in crises.

He was optimistic his Party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP will win in Plateau state because the people know it is better to be in the mainstream than in the opposition.

“I don’t know why the APC and INEC insist on the use of PVCs and Card reader when it is obvious that there are hitches; I am suspicious of the delay in giving Plateau people the PVCs.

“If I go out to vote on the 28th and the thing rejects my finger prints, I will still vote as long as my name is on the register. Jega should not soil his reputation by putting the nation in crises. He performed well in 2011, let him consolidate on that.

Speaking on his preparedness for the Senate race, the governor stated, “I am not taking this race for granted that is why I am here to ask you to assist me and say Baba, carry go.

“I will give good representation and there will be suggestion boxes in the constituency to get people suggestions on what they want in their area. Constituency projects will be well executed for the benefit of everyone.”

However, PDP candidates in the zone including the Party flag bearer, Sen. Gyang Pwajok, Mr. Istifanus Gyang, Mr. Edward Pwajok, Mrs. Mary Gar, among others who spoke at the event also canvassed support for President Goodluck Jonathan and other PDP candidates.

Meanwhile, a community leader, Adah Peter Magaji appealed for peaceful elections say, “know that God gives power, whatever happens on election days in terms of results, see it as a will of God and accept it in good faith”.

The town hall meeting was continued at Jos South, Jos North, Bassa Local Government Areas with the team still canvassing massive supports from the electorate.
