Security has been beefed up around Barkin Ladi Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau to curb the recent upsurge of attacks. This was disclosed by the Special Task Force (STF) maintain peace in the state.

STF disclosed that there is an increase in military patrols as a result of the resumption of attacks which saw the killing of over 10 people.

The spokesman of STF, Captain Ikedichi Iweha stated that attacks and counter attacks were responsible for the recent skirmishes and called on people not to take the laws into their hands and report suspicious movements to the security agencies. He stated that anyone trying to distort the peace will face the wrath of the law.
