The Senatorial candidate of Plateau North, Governor Jonah David Jang and His Royal Highness, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, have not been issue their Permanent Voter Card (PVC). “You would recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Resident Electoral Commission, Dr. Godwin Kwanga, has announced the extension of collections dateline in the state.” 

The Gbong Gwom, whose PVC is still missing, expressed worry over the inability of INEC to distribute the PVCs within the time frame. The royal father also cautioned the citizens of the state to be law-abiding. In another development, the leader of Igbo Cultural and Welfare Association, His Royal Highness, Chief Samuel Acha, expressed concern that many Igbo residents in Plateau State may be disenfranchise in the forthcoming general elections.

According to him, those eligible voters, who are resident in the state should be allowed to make use of the temporary cards. He described the development as worrisome and called for urgent steps to ensure that people were issued with their cards. Acha also appealed to non-indigenes, especially the Igbo people not to panic to the extend of leaving the state ahead of the elections.
