Pwajok said youth empowerment is key to his programmes.

Pwajok unveiled his plans on Thursday in Jos while speaking to news men about what to expect if he emerges Governor. He spoke at a media forum organized by the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists for political office seekers in the state. Pwajok said youth empowerment is key to his programmes.

He said the provision of adequate jobs, education, skills acquisition and recreational centre for the youth will be a major driving force.

He added: “The policies will aim to address youth development and empowerment in order to curtail rising incidence of social ills associated with joblessness among people by seeking to reorient the youth away from negative values to cherish core values of the African society, including respect for elders.”

Pwajok promised to build youth training and empowerment centres in all the 17 local government areas of the state to provide business advisory service.

He condemned the current negative habits of cultism, drug abuse, corruption, prostitution, women trafficking, child abuse and child trafficking.

Pwajok assured the people of the state of expanded poverty reduction measures by maintaining infrastructure and generating wealth and employment for the youths of the state.

He promised to reform the public sector and adopt measures to activate and energise medium, small scale and micro enterprises to make positive contributions to the state’s economic development, which will include industrial development strategy that will encourage more development.

He explained further that qualitative health service for pregnant women and children less than five years and sustaining current efforts to construct and rehabilitate standard healthcare centres as well as general hospitals statewide will also engage his attention.
