The political equation of plateau state is rather complex as many continue to speculate the possibility of a winning chase, with the PDP, and with the emergence of (RTD) Jeremiah Useini as the flag bearer and coming from the older generation blog, many expected the deputy to be paired with a more younger personality, but many other criteria are now surfacing among which include:

1. The Catholic Vs COCIN criteria to which history seem to prove this theory right as from 1999 to 20017 when Dariye was the governor his deputy Botmang was a catholic, Jonah Jang (cocin) his deputy Paulin Tallen (Catholic) Longjan (Catholic), Lalong ( Catholic) his deputy- Tyoden (COCIN)
2. The zone factor; the central zone is a possible zone but that would depend on the selection of the senate I.E if the Pankshin got the ticket. Possibly to come from Mangu- Jonah Jang preferred  candidate is Caleb   Mutfwang the former  Chairman of Mangu

Other candidates like Hart Bankert who is relatively young Catholic knight, enjoyed the support of the rank and file of the youths constituency and a successful Architect in business, he hails from Pankshin one criteria that might stand against him is the mere fact that some power blogs are suggestion 40 years and above.

Prof. Shedrack Best hails from Mangu, he is the former Secretary to the State government. Popular among his generation but many still think he falls outside the scope and definition of the youth’s class.

Juryitmwa Goyit is Ngas and she is the only female voice that many rank and file within the youth class preferred, she has been a voice for the Party over time on sundry issues. She once contested for the PKK alongside Timothy Golu. Again she falls below 40 years of age.

Dachung Musa Bagos–  Bagos  overtime has shown himself to be an activist, Berom by tribe and he is currently contesting for the House of Reps Jos South-Jos East he is a possible replacement incase the central zone policy failed

Yakubu Jang– the most favored son of the former governor of plateau state, yakubu Jang had endeared himself overtime as a critical stake holder in the PDP politics because of many reasons..

Ayuba Burki Gofwan –  he is the PDP chairman candidate in Mangu LGA, he is a philanthropist and the CEO of beautiful gate handicapped people centre Jos, which overtime he has distributed more than17,000 wheel chairs in Nigeria for free. Deeply connected to his grassroots

Barr. Gyang Zi– a  vibrant and intelligent lawyer from the berom tribe has been mooted in some quaters,as a possible candidate, however, there are others who consider him a ‘dark horse’ considering his young age and strong loyalty to the party

Hon Benedict shinungul- hails from Mangu and also a likely to be among

ViewpointNigeria, seek the opinion Exo Pyenap who also contested alongside JT Useini while declaring his full support for the candidature of Jeremiah Useini and the Party’s decision, Exo  comment “that the issue of deputy is likely to come from Mwaghavul or the Ngas people of the central zone”.  Exo  also align himself with the position that a younger person should be selected to deputize the old man but the process should carry all stakeholders along.
