With less than 24 hours to Christmas, the Plateau Police Command in its efforts to provide maximum security to the citizenry, it has ban the use and sales of fireworks, street trading and advised the public not to patronize unregistered recreational centres.
The Command in a press statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Abuh Emmanuel, made available to journalists in Jos, Wednesday.
It reads, “The ban on the use and sales of fireworks such as knockouts, Banger and other explosives is still in force and the violators will be made to face the full weight of the Law.

The statement advised the public not to patronize, “Unregistered amusement/recreational centres and motor parks.
However, vehicle owners are also advised to park at designated points during Church services as security operatives would be at all worship places.
The statement further called on the public to be security conscious and volunteer dependable information to security operatives
