Engineer Jimmy Cheto, a founding member of the PDP has after deep consultations and discussions, submitted his “Expression of Interest” form, signifying his intention to contest the 2019 gubernatorial seat of Plateau State.

The submission thrusts him into the race, which is already in political overdrive, due to the confirmation of the zoning arrangement to the Southern senatorial district.

Jimmy Cheto joins the race with other PDP compatriots including Lt Gen J T Useni, Engr Ponyah Ibrahim, Hon. George Daika, Senator Victor Lar, Arc Samuel Jatau, Hon Kemi Nshe

Speaking to our reporter after the submission, Engineer Cheto expressed optimism and confidence that the structures and political frameworks he is deploying will yield bountiful electoral results and called on all and sundry to rally around his bid to salvage Plateau from the fangs of mediocre governance.

He lamented the poor and desperate state of affairs on the Plateau, saying the state needs an experienced and capable hand who has the capacity to uplift it to higher heights.
