PRESS RELEASE BY THE MUSLIM/CHRISTIAN YOUTH
ORGANIZATION OF NIGERIA, PLATEAU STATE CHAPTER ON THE KILLINGS OF INNOCENT CITIZENS IN BARKIN LADI AND OTHERS PARTS OF THE STATE
OUR AIM:

The Christian Muslim Youth Organization an inter—faith youth organization promote religious harmony peaceful co-existence political stability and unity of Nigeria, we are deeply disturbed with the news of the gruesome murder of Plateau children, women and men in the wake of the violent attack that took place in Gashish District and other communities of the northern zone of Plateau State by the heartless and wicked criminals elements suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
The organization strongly condemns this barbaric act which to say the least is satanic, inhuman and condemnable because no man has the right to take life as preached by both religion.
We wish to extend our sympathy to the affected families and the good people of Plateau State and we urge the State government to immediately take drastic measures to curb this repeated attacks and for arrest and prosecution of all those established to be sponsors and perpetrators of this evil acts.
We callonthe youths on the plateau not to allow the unfortunate situation in which the state has found itself to justify the sowing of seeds of discord with the raising of arms against each other.
We pray for the speedy recovery of the injured and urge all youth to remain calm and vigilant and for them to ensure they report any suspicious gathering to pr per authorities.
