Voting at the Plateau PDP primaries has been finalised and the counting has just begun. The primaries were largely peaceful, except for skirmishes which broke between delegates who are loyal to particular candidates.

Delegates especially from the Southern zone alleged that electoral fraud and malpractices were occuring, but the head of the electoral process was said to have vetoed and averred that no such thing was noticed. Delegates from the largely Northern senatorial zone were said to have counted the allegations, leading to minor skirmishes which were promptedly contained by security agencies.

With over half of the votes counted – the names which are featuring more from the count are – G N S Pwajok, Ignatius Longjan and Victor Lar. So far our unofficial count suggest that GNS Pwajok is in a early lead. Note: This is an unofficial count, just based on our own numbers of what votes have been declared. Ignatius Longjan is is very close second with Victor Lar a distant third – Other delegates got very few votes.
