The cancellation, according to him was based on disagreement among stakeholders of the local government over distribution of the delegate forms.
Briefing newsmen in his office, Dabo said, “We had to cancel the congress in Pankshin local government because there were serious disagreements between stakeholders in the LGA.
He said, “Top political leaders of the LGA stormed my office with complains over distribution of delegates form, we sat in my office and agree to cancel the congress, because of compleixities around what we have seen.
“The committee supervising the congress in Pankshin local government has also been dissolved, pending when an agreement is reached by all the stakeholders of the local government.
“A new date will be agreed, and a new committee to supervise the rescheduled congress will be enacted.
“Apart from Pankshin local government, the congresses were successful in all the other local government in the state. The national officials went round the state to supervise the process and I am sure they are satisfied with the peaceful conduct of the congress.
The party (PDP) had earlier set up its own committee to supervise the congress in all the 17 local governments of the state.
The delegation from the national secretariat of PDP sent to supervise the conduct of the congress in Plateau was led by Senator Tilly Gyado from Benue State.
