An eleven-man accreditation team from the National Universities Commission (NUC) has arrived Federal College of Education (FCE), Pankshin in Plateau State to accredit 10 of the college’s programmes.
The team, which was led by Prof Patrick Asukuo, was expected to spend five days accrediting the 10 of the 23 programmes being run by the college, which began awarding degree certificates in 2008. Mr. C. D. Yakse, the Registrar of the college told newsmen in Pankshin that the college was fully prepared for the accreditation team.

Yakse disclosed that the 10 programmes to be accredited include Music, Guidance and Counseling and Business Education, whose departments he said were equipped.
“The 10 courses to be accredited are among the 23 programmes the college isrunning since 2008 when we began running of degree programmes.
The registrar said that 13 of the 23 course had long been fully accredited by NUC and that the college had graduated three sets already since it began as a degree awarding college.
