Phillip Izam) of the local government and endorsed Governor Simon Bako Lalong/Tyoden  to run in 2019.

A PRESS STATEMENT ISSUED BY THE JOS NORTH COUNCILLORS

PROTOCOL

The attention of the Jos North Councillors has been drawn to a contemning publication accredited to the joint forum of  the APC ward Chairmen in the Local Government area, calling on the people’s Governor, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt.Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, the amiable Party Chairman and Stakeholders of the Party to dissolve the Management Committee members of the Local Government on baseless grounds, we adjudge as unfounded, absurd, malevolent and divisive to the unity of the party.

Irked by these, We the 20 wards Councillors deem it imperative to voice out our position as regards to the lingering matters of concern, while we honorably and dispassionately call on all staunch supporters of the party to remain united and focused on making the Party bigger and better.

We wish to state in unambiguous terms and without mixing of any words that, the publication by the Ward Chairmen was totally self-seeking, uncalled-for and tantamount to causing division in the party, we believe that the decision does not reflect the aspirations of our teaming stalwarts hence, we call on His Excellency  and the Peace loving people of Jos North LGA to disregard such agitations, as they are only geared towards putting to test our oneness.

The Management Committee under the devout leadership of Hon. Philip Nyam has not just done the people of Jos North proud in terms of impacts but have also confirmed, that their ideologies are in tandem with the progressive and pragmatic leadership philosophy of the Rescue administration, thus, there achievements are indeed worthy of commendation. The Management Committee have been able to Restore the confidence of Party faithfuls in both Mobilization and inclusion in all relevant Party activities in the state and beyond. The local government leadership of the party can attest to this stride even in the Management Committee’s commitments and sincerity towards Remittance of the Party’s 15% from the appointees and other benefits as well.

As a Party guided by rules and decorum, we wish to call on the Ward Chairmen and others who feel indifferent about this truth to seek for a more descent means of resolving internal and personal disputes rather than making incited commentaries that puts the unity of the party into bad light.

In the same vein, we wish to pass a vote of Confidence on the leadership of Hon. Phillip Izam the Council Chairman and Hon. Hassan Maimadara Council Secretary and also join the State’s legislative arm in equally passing a vote of confidence on the Rescue Administration in the state for Redefining to the common man on the street that politics is all about delivering good services and building of trust among the citizenry.

We hereby also unapologetic-ally endorse the Governor and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong and Prof. Sonni Gwanle Tyoden for a second term in office, come 2019 God’s willing. This would give them and the Party more time and opportunity to consolidate on the good works so far achieved.

While we call on the Peace and loving people of Jos North to continue in the path of tolerance and unity, we wish to send our deepest condolences to the people of Dong Community, our neighbors in Bassa LGA and other communities over the cruelsome evil, tangled upon them by the herdsmen militia in recent attacks, we earnestly pray that God will grant to us comfort in this sad and trying moment.

We call on all Security agencies and relevant authorities to Join hands with the Government in ensuring that the activities of this evil men are extinguished for good.

We wish to thank all our great Party men and women for their confidence and unalloyed support to the APC led Government at all levels and call on us all not to relent.
