News reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that President Olusegun Obasanjo has just arrived Makurdi, the Benue state capital for a condolence visit.

Touching down at the Makurdi airport, Olusegun Obasanjo was received by Benue’s illustrious sons and daughters – including Governor Samuel Ortom, traditional rulers and leaders of thought.

Obasanjo has since been to the grave of the 73 citizens murdered by herdsmen, to pay his respect. Following that, he is scheduled to proceed to the palace of the Tortiv for a closed door meeting with His Royal Majesty Prof. James Ayatse.
