The Senator representing Plateau North at the National Assembly, Senator GNS Pwajok has issued a statement condemning the twin bomb attack in Jos on Tuesday afternoon , in which over 200 people were killed.
The Senator who addressed the media shortly after the incident occurred through his Chief Media Officer, Mr. Chuwang Dung, notes and expresses his sadness at the terrorist attack which killed dozens of people and injured many.
He said, “I was deeply saddened and shocked when I heard of the bomb explosion in Jos, which falls in my constituency, I strongly condemned the act and also sympathized with the families of the bereaved and those who have suffered injury.”

According to him, the attack is an attempt by some cowards to jeopardized the peace that has returned to Jos the state capital. “This barbaric act was intended to promote fear and disunity within Jos metropolis and contribute to existing instability in the country.
Pwajok then urged security agencies not to allow the situation to cow them rather they should redouble their efforts in fighting terrorism in the country.
The senator who restated his commitment to do everything possible to assist security and other relevant agencies to tackle the problems of insecurity in his constituency and the state at large lauded those that engaged in the rescue mission and medical workers for the timely intervention and commitment.
A team of Sen. Pwajok’s aides had visited some of the hospitals to commiserate with the victims and ascertain the casualties.
