Opinion: Middle-Belt Generals or Kids? – By Zopmal Emma

Government is made and by who? If I will give the answer, it’s by those in the past who have made the government what it’s. Government is personified in the leader and who made the leaders. We’ve the generals who the ghosts of terrorism can fear but since they’re in shelves or archives, the assailants have their way. No one can arrest a General who stands in the way of a terrorist who intends to massacre. We’ve to accept to responsibilities. After all, have the generals advised the government on what to do yo safeguard lives and property? I love the Old Testament Middle Belters in Taraba and Gov Ortom for banning the earth breaking terrorist by banning their movements. The generals must be generals whether serving or retired.

I am worried and i know that knowledge is not transferable. We in the Middle Belt are known to be warriors and it has been proven in the military profession and organization. Some have gone to the great beyond but some are still living. Today, we are living with death in our rooms every night. We can’t have time to plan our lives. No time for our wives and children. The future is bleak yet we have Generals in the Middle Belt serving and retired. What is going on now is a clear testimony that we have lost our warriors status. No one is bold enough to point at the killer and call him by his name. Our forefathers are judging us from the graves. We may choose to be mum but we can’t be mum to avoid death. I personally fault our leaders for being complacent and this is what they are transmitting to the next generation. Quote me anywhere, Buhari is a terrorist who inherited terrorism from his mother side of Kanuri. It pleases him to see killing of other people. He lacks morals and fear of God. These killings started as result of his loss to ascend Presidency. Today, he has attained it but he still wants to rule for life by killing. He has surrounded himself by murderers. We in the Middle Belt have a great task. The task is to deconstruct and destroy the looming political gimmicks and Fulanis’ terrorism. Our rich profiles cannot save us but what we can put in the hands of history to carry on. It’s not worthy to be a warrior in a mourning home. Time is our enemy now. Act or make no sense of who you are. Emma Zopmal, Humble Lion
