Confirming the report, the state Commander of  the agency, Ibrahim Braji, said seven persons have been arrested in connection with the crime.

According to Braji, the suspects arrested were Simon Ugwu, John Sunday, Peter Tanimu, Promise Godgift, Abdul Abdul, Musa Sabo (driver) and Awwal Mohammed.

It will be recalled that on August 30, 2017, 42 people were also arrested and 247.432kg of drugs were recovered by the Command.
