It takes a man of courage to impact lives and do great things for humanity. This is the signature of Rev. John Pofi a truly great man who has a heart to help the poor and needy. When ViewPointNigeria went to the office to report what everybody thought was a mere birthday celebration, People were left in awe as to the degree of services to humanity rendered on that faithful day of September 20th 2017 in Jos. It was an opportunity for the vulnerable people to smile and an era of hope for those in dire need of humanitarian assistance. The event which started at exactly 12PM was attended by youths, elders, students, journalists, politicians, pastors, Imams as well as the Nigerian Ambassador to Qatar Mr. Abdullahi Bawa Wase. Generally speaking, it was attended by the “Creme-de-la-Creme” of the Nigerian public space. The three (3) major events were distribution of grants to some vulnerable men and women to start a life and get empowered economically, Donation of computer set to the Nigerian union of journalists (NUJ) and donation of stretchers to emergency management agencies like NEMA, Red Cross society, Road safety, Yowican, JNI, Police, Civil Defence Corps, Operation Rainbow and others. In his opening speech, the MD/CEO Chief John Pofi who was obviously happy, expressed confidence and extended hands of partnership to the attendees in the area of peace building and other forms of services to humanity. “My dream is to impact lives and die empty. John Pofi Foundation is willing to make that dream come true” The message reads in part. The beneficiaries were all thankful and prayed for more grace for the Foundation. Amb. Abdullahi Bawa on his part commended the brilliant and giant strides of John Pofi Foundation and expressed readiness for partnership to change the world. The meeting ended at about 1:30PM.
