The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of John Pofi Foundation Rev. John Pofi has called for calm and tolerance amidst rising tension in Jos. The tension is as a result of Biafra agitations in the South East by some igbos. Trouble started when some hoodlums in Jos yesterday the 14th of Sept, 2017 at terminus market started attacking innocent citizens for no justifiable reasons. The tension grew and spread like wild fire and people started running helter-skelter for safety. Report has it that there were casualties. John Pofi foundation whose core mission is worldwide peace is further calling on security agencies to unravel the cause of the problem with a view to resolving contending issues. “Jos is a place of peace and there can’t be any room for troubles and confusion by some disgruntled elements. John Pofi Foundation is deeply saddened by the ill happenings and calls for peace”. The message reads in part.
