Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong ,has warned trouble makers in the state stressing that those found guilty in the Ancha Bassa local government attacks would never go unpunished adding that they would serve as a deterrent to those who have intentions of further attacks.

Lalong gave this warning while addressing the Fulani communities under the aegis of Miyetti Allah and the Irigwe people of Bassa local government area of the state held at Government house Little Rayfield Jos yesterday.

Lalong called on the two parties to come up with ways of settlement and be ready to work for peace . He said ” i call on citizens to continue to stay peacefully with one another.”

The Governor while praying for the repose of the soul of those who lost their lives in the attack urged people of the state to continue to live in peace . Director General Peace Building Agency Joseph Lengmang ,who spoke at the occasion said the incident was a complete setback to the state in its efforts of bringing permanent peace Lengmang said the meeting created an avenue for honest interactive with a view to finding lasting solution to the Bassa Skirmish . The Fulani spokesman Muhammad Nura Abdullahi who is the state chairman of Miyetti Allah and Hon Sunday Abdul ,President Irigwe Development Association condemned the attack and both agreed collectively to fight those causing the problem.

They promised not to spare any person involved and commended the government for its effort towards the amicable settlement of the crisis
