Information reaching the ViewPointNigeria news desk indicates that Engr. Jimmy Cheto has finalised plans to revert back to the PDP after a lacklustre stay in the APC fold.

Stakeholders in Jos confirmed to ViewPointNigeria that several discussions were held between the leadership of Plateau state PDP and respective decampees including Engr. Jimmy Cheto and that consensus was finally achieved in the last couple of days. As such, the expectation is that Engr. Jimmy Cheto with his supporters should revert back to the PDP fold in the next couple of weeks.

It would be recalled that Engr. Jimmy Cheto, Dr. Nandul Durfa amongst other decamped from the opposition PDP to the APC fold in February 2016 at a grand rally in Mabudi, Langtang South to mark the official flag-off of the Langtang South Contituency re-run.

Investigations by ViewPointNigeria indicates that Jimmy Cheto and other decampees have for a long time been uncomfortable with the manner that affairs are ran within the ruling APC and have felt particularly sidelined and marginalised in the party.

When ViewPointNigeria reached out to Jimmy Cheto to confirm the veracity of the information, his phones were switched off. But several sources within the PDP fold have confirmed to ViewPointNigeria that other politicians who decamped in a hurry to the APC fold are beginning to walk their way back to PDP and that other announcements will soon follow.
