Northern Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has commended Vice President Professor Osinbajo for the leadership qualities he displayed to Nigerians and loyalty to President Muhammadu for over three months he served as acting President while Buhari was away on medical vacation in the United Kingdom. Chairman of the Northern CAN Rev. Yakubu Pam in a Press statement issued in Jos on Tuesday said Christian leaders in the north are proud of Yemi Osinbajo over the way and manner he managed to steer the ship of the Nigeria- state while his Boss was in London receiving medical attention for over 100 days before he eventually return back to the country.

“There are lots of things to learn about loyalty by political office holders from the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo under the current political dispensation. Pam said President Buhari acted well with the selection of his Vice President as his running mate during the 2015 Presidential elections and ask other Christian leaders in the position of authority under the current dispensation to show maturity in the handling of political positions they have been voted to man in the current democracy in the country. According to him, it takes a man of courage like the Vice President to handle with maturity the various agitations that came up from different geopolitical zones of the country while he was serving as acting President.

The Northern CAN Chairman added that the Christian body in the North is happy that the President, Muhammadu Buhari has returned back to the country to team up with his deputy to give the people of Nigeria more dividends of democracy. Pam added that now that Buhari is back in the country, all that is required is for the federal government to review the challenges that the people of this country have gone through in the recent past and provide solutions to them for the growth of this country.

He calls for prayers for President Buhari, Vice President Osinbajo and their team for God’s guidance in the current assignment the people of Nigeria have given to President Buhari to provide them quality leadership that would give all sections and groups in the country a sense of belonging in the country.
