The Plateau state Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Plateau Investment and Property Development Company (PIPC) have launched an investment promotion agency named One-Stop-Shop (OSS) that would woo investors to the state.

Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau state who was represented by Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Ezekiel Daju during the sensitization of commissioners and senior government officials of the state on investment promotion held at the Jos Business School yesterday explained that, his administration has shifted its attention to the development of non oil sector by establishing investment promotion agencies such as OSS in order to enable the state to generate more income. He said, “It was in our wisdom among our five pillar policy we included entrepreneurship and industrialization to enable us fast tract the economic growth of the state in particular and the nation at large.”

Gov. Lalong added that the workshop was necessary considering the fallen of oil price and that of national income.

He said that the agency would guarantee easy doing business because it serves as a platform where investors can come and finish the process of business documentation in the state within a short time.
