Plateau past governors commend Lalong and score him “B” plus

Former governors of Plateau state, including past military administrators rated Governor Simon Lalong high. They assessed that Governor Simon Lalong has done incredibly well in returning peace to the state, and earned the support of the majority of the people and initiated development projects across all 17 LGAs of the state.

The governors who spoke through Admiral Samuel Atukum (Rtd) , a retired military administrator between 1984 – 1985, scored Lalong a solid “B” plus for his achievements.

When you have limited funds, it is impossible for developments to be even, you have to ration it gradually all over the Local Governments. But presently under Lalong, the developments are even – they are not lopsided at all, Atukum said.

Earlier Lalong said, that despite the challenges of the last two years – he made progress by approaching development holistically. Speaking further, he said the achievements of the past two years were only possible because of the return of peace to the state, the resuscitation of moribund industries, the payment of outstanding salaries and the undertaking of large capital projects.
