Honourable Sulaiman Kwande the member representing Jos North/Bassa Federal constituency in Plateau state has dismissed the threats made that his seat will be declared vacant. The lawmaker recently dumped the Democratic People’s Party (DPP) for the All People’s Congress (APC).

The Chairman of DPP, General Jeremiah Useni (rtd) stated on Friday that the process for recall of Kwande will begin if the lawmaker refuses to return to the party on whose platform he was elected to the National assembly.

Useni said that Kwande has been given a deadline of Monday to return back to DPP or be taken to court and his seat declared vacant. He said “One of the major problem killing political parties in the country is indiscipline. The party is supreme and its members must respect the collective decision of a party.”

Kwande while responding to the threats stated that he would not join issues with an individual and that his action was in the interest of members of his constituency. He added that his move to the new party is irreversible.

It will be recalled that ViewPointNigeria reported of Kwande’s cross carpeting from DPP to APC while ignoring the DPP’s leadership who told him to move to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as there were ongoing talks between the PDP and DPP.
