A Plateau youth group known as ‘Youth in Action for Sule Lamido 2019’ has further thrown its weight behind Dr. sule Lamido for president 2019. In an official statement made available to ViewPointNigeria through the coordinator of the group Mr. Abel Casper Friday 12th May, 2017, the group says it is committed to giving the former Governor of Jigawa state ‘Total and victorious support’ in the light of his aspiration for president of Nigeria in 2019. ”We have not given up on our leader. We are are going to stand by him through thick and thin because he is the only one that has the wisdom and capacity and political will to transform Nigeria and take it to another dimension of progress and development.” The group also frowns at the recent arrest of Dr. Lamido saying ”The recent arrest of our leader was one of the many scams of APC to cover their abysmal and shameful performance in office. why will you arrest a man for calling his supporters to defend their votes in the forthcoming Local Government elections in Jigawa? It is childish. To show you that Sule Lamido is a great leader, when he was put in the prison, he settled the charges of other inmates who had no money to bail themselves. In that same spirit, he also gave them transport fare again. This is commendable. Our support for Lamido is total and victorious and we call on other Plateau youths to join the moving and unstoppable train.” The statement reads in part. The release was signed by the 5 man committee members of the group. They are:
