The Plateau state chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Chief Nanyah Daman has been nominated to receive a meritorious award of honour by Reality NewsPapar Jos, for his sterling contribution to human and societal development. ”It was an overwhelming nomination” according to one of his associates and ”he truly deserves it”. he said. Responding to ViewPointNigeria, Amb. Daman said, the award would further spur him to do more great things for humanity and the state general. The event is scheduled to take place on the 11th of February 2017 at Nana country home, Tudun Wada Jos. Mr. Nanyah Daman was a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, before he cross-carpeted to ADP and rose to become its state chairman. Recently, members of the MEGA party held a meeting in Jos preparatory to the forthcoming Local Government Elections but it is not yet clear if the party would jostle for the chairmanship seats of the 17 Local Government Councils or throw its weight behind any political party given the fact that its registration with INEC hasn’t been completed. Amb. Daman is known for his fearless criticisms of some government programmes and policies he considers not in the interest of the masses.
