The Fulani umbrella body Meyitti-Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Plateau State Chapter has come out to defend one of its leaders popularly called “Ardo” who was arrested in Mangu LGA of complexity in charges levelled against him. The association issued a statement in Jos yesterday regarding the matter.
Secretary of the association, Mallam Muhammad Nura accused the Special Task Force (STF) on Plateau Crisis and the Beroms of conniving to implicate their leader and dent the good image of Fulanis in general. Nura insisted that the suspect Alhaji Sale Abarshir is a peace loving elder who is well respected in Mangu Local Government Area of the State. He further stated that Abarshir was neither a criminal nor a wizard who deals on human parts. MACBAN called on the Crime Investigation Department (CID), of the Nigeria Police currently investigating the case to be upright and sincere.

It will be recalled that viewpoint Nigeria reported last week that a Fulani leader Alhaji Sale Albashir, was arrested with five human skulls following an extensive search in his residence in Mangu. Also recovered during the operation were sophisticated guns and other paraphernalia.
