Investigations by ViewPointNigeria indicates that 36 hours after Ambassador Bagudu Hirse was abducted by suspected kidnappers, no contact has yet to be made with the  suspected kidnappers. The eerie silence is already creating massive unease across the Plateau-sphere, as many well wishers and family members are waiting anxiously for news of his whereabouts.

When newsmen spoke to Emmanuel Nanle about the development, he said “no contact has been made with anybody. The family has yet to be contacted, and this is deeply worrying”.

It will be recalled that, ViewPointNigeria reported of the abduction of elder statesman shortly after alighting from his car in front of the Kaduna residence of President Buhari’s nephew, Alhaji Maman Daura, whom he went to see.

Reports say four armed men in masks stormed on him and picked him into a waiting car which sped off instantly.

Recently, Kaduna state has gained notoriety for kidnappings and armed robbery with several personalities in Plateau falling victim.

Only last week the administrative Secretary of the Jama’atu Nasirl Islam (JNI) in Plateau State, Abdulaziz Yusuf, was kidnapped in Kaduna, although he has since secured his freedom.

Earlier in March, the president of Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria, Emmanuel Dziggau, was kidnapped in Kaduna alongside two other colleagues, Rev. Yakubu Dzarma; and Rev. Iliya Anto.

Dziggau and Dzarma regained their freedom later in April, but Anto was found dead.
