Filin Sukuwa, Jos North – News reaching ViewPointNigeria indicates that five suspects have been arrested by the Police in Plateau State in connection with the ritual killing of a 13-year-old girl, who was earlier reported to have been killed and body parts (eyes and tongue) removed.

Four of the suspects arrested are thought to have been directly involved in the killing and removal of body parts, while the fifth suspect –a dealer of shoes was allegedly said to have contracted the four to undertake the killing for a sum of N300, 000.
A relative quoted one of the ladies in the house as saying the victim’s mother sent her to buy Masa (a local rice snack) around 7.30a.m., but that she never returned. After waiting hopelessly for the return of her daughter, a family member traced the girl’s steps to the Masa joint, only to be told that she indeed came to buy Masa but she later return on another errand by one of the suspects.

All efforts to trace the girl failed, until her corpse was later discovered in an un-completed building around filin Sukuwa on Friday. This development was said to have irked residents in the area between Filin Sukuwa and Angwan Rogo –who were said to have vehemently demanded justice on behalf of the victim and called for an end to the rampant cases of ritual killing and kidnapping in the area.
When the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Felicia Anslem was contacted for comments, he confirmed the arrests, saying investigations were still being undertaken.
