Friday 16th April 2016, saw a peaceful protest by the Shiite Islamic sect in Jos, protesting the immediate release of incarcerated leader Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

The peaceful procession which commenced around Bauchi road and streamed across most streets in Jos township/metropolis, comprised women, children and men of all ages.

They held banners and inscriptions and sang songs demanding the release of their leader.
