INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION/TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF ASSORTED FERTILIZER
The Plateau State Government through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in its effort to boost its Agricultural sector is desirous of procuring and distributing assorted fertilizers for the 2016 farming season through an arrangement using registered farmers and accredited Agro-dealers. Accordingly, contractors are invited to participate in the pre-qualification and subsequent tender, entered for eventual selection of qualified, competent and experience contractors for the work.
2.0 PRE-QUALIFICATION/BIDDING PROCESS
2.1 Prequalification/tender will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Procurement act (current edition) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the act.
2.2 Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information, and inspect the pre-qualification documents, from the Planning Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at the address below during office hours (8.00am – 4.00pm)
2.3 A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) only. The method of payment is through Sterling Bank Nigeria Plc and the documents will be collected in the Planning Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
3.0 BIDDING REQUIREMENT
3.1 Bidders are required to prepare a Brochure bound in A4 size that can express the bidder’s technical experience and level of preparedness to handle such a project.
3.2 The technical brochure in 3.1 above is to consist of the following information, arranged in the given order;
a) Company registration with corporate affairs Commission with articles and memorandum of association
b) Tax Clearance for the past 3 years
c) Company audited account for the past 3 years
d) Bank reference
e) ITF remittance
f) PENCOM compliance evidence
g) VAT certificate
h) Current registration with PLSG State Tenders Board
i) List of projects of similar magnitude, location and cost carried out within the last 5 years
j) List of equipment relevant to the scope of the works
k) List and addresses of current Agro-dealers in the State
l) Provide bid security of not less 3% of the total contract sum
4.0 SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT
4.1 Applications for prequalification/Tender should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 12.00pm (two weeks from the date of this advertisement) late applications will be rejected.
