The Plateau State University (PLASU) will matriculate its 1200 new students on Wednesday, 13 April.
Spokesman of the university, Mr John Agams, said arrangements have been concluded for the epoch event, at Bokkos, Plateau State.
“This matriculation is special and unique to the university following our recent accreditation of our 17 academic programmes by the National University Commission (NUC).
“We are almost through with the screening of the prospective students, who are cheerfully collecting their gowns for the occasion,’’ he said.
The spokesman said that the entire university community had started wearing a new look following the uniqueness of the occasion.
He said that NUC’s upgrading of the status of the university with the accreditation had brought tremendous joy and happiness to the entire students, staff and members of university community.
According to him, all the four faculties have increased number of students following the candidates admitted and posted by JAMB to the university for the 2015/2016 academic session.
Agams called on the parents, relations and the general public to join the university in celebrating the success of the students as they matriculate on Wednesday.
