Pictures: Mother’s day celebration at COCIN UK

Mother’s day was celebrated in style at Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) UK on sunday 6th March 2016, with special recognition and prayers offered for mothers and women around the world.

In his sermon, taken from John 1:1, the Reverend of the church, Rev. Kefas Tang’an taught about the theme “why did Jesus Christ die for us” and gave an extensive teaching about the importance of the ultimate sacrifice. The theme was especially apt in view of the upcoming easter period and the mother’s day celebration.

Rev. Kefas challenged the congregation not to take for granted the act of redemption by Christ and the importance of honouring our parents – particularly our mothers who nurtured and raised us.
