Plateau Northern zone consists of six Local government which include: BASSA,Jos NORTH, Jos SOUTH, Jos EAST, B/ LADI and RIYOM.

The Zone has had six Senators from 1999 to date with SENATOR ID GYANG as the Current Sitting Senator Representing the good people of the District.

Senator ID GYANG mandate is hinges on three Cardinal key policy namely:
1.SECURITY= SECURING THE PEOPLE THROUGH CONTINUES DIALOGUE WITH ALL COMMUNITIES.
2.RECONCILIATION= RECONCILING THE PEOPLE WORKING TOGETHER IN HARMONY FOR OUR COMMON GOOD.
3.EMPOWERMENT= PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO OUR PEOPLE THROUGH EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC/
BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT.
senator ID GYANG has Eleven(11) bills to his credit which are pro-people and aiming at improving our laws thereby strengthening our Democratic experience,Senator ID GYANG is third (3) among the senate ranking in terms of bills and motion moved and sponsored so far in the (9) Senate.
Meanwhile, back here at home Senator ID GYANG has a functional Constituency office located at GIRING ABATTOIR JOS ;it is also called ” THE PEOPLE’S PARLIAMENT” in that regard.The office is useful to the people as all issues that concerns the people are appropriately channelled and handled accordingly.
Worthy of mention also is that Senator GYANG has within the first ONE year in the senate secured Employment to many young people in his Constituency as well as carried out an Empowerment scheme for women, and Farmers in the constituency had benefited From a Fertilizer program.
Senator GYANG as a true representative of the people who has understood and knows that in every society the place of the youth and women matters in forming policy and has placed priority on these groups in his mandate to the good people of Plateau North.
Finally, we call on all Plateau North citizens to visit the Constituency office as it’s open to all most especially youth groups and organization should come to the office to know what the senator is doing and to also contribute their ideas to the growth and Development of Plateau North Senatorial District.
