A governorship aspirant on the Plateau in the forthcoming 2019 elections Mr. Arnold Shan has unveiled his agenda for Plateau state. In a message made available to ViewPointNigeria, Mr. Shan said his mission was to transform Plateau state and make it a better place.

>worthy of note is, ARNOLD was pivotal in the student challenge of the Gov Jang first administration, to pay NAPSS Uni Jos chapter ‘Scholarship’ & achieved success in 2008
>ARNOLD also became the pioneer of ‘Rebuilding talents on the Plateau’, which took place at ‘Dimples lounge’; & witnessed many upcoming & vibrant artists.
Unfortunately, Govt didn’t key into the vision, & was left crippled at the detriment of young talents… 2013/2014
>ARNOLD also partnered with youth industries such as ‘TV hunt’, & ‘BB mania entertainment’ to promote youths talent on the Plateau

One can digest that ARNOLD is a selfless & patriotic citizen of Plateau state, & if given the opportunity to serve; will work round the clock to promote youths on the Plateau.
Imagine a formidable State Executive with YOUTHS as its pilot, wouldn’t that be exciting as vibrant intellectuals work tirelessly to exalt our state economy?
Clearly this vision is for Greater Together, as it seeks to elevate Youths livelihood; while giving our elder States Men & Women a benefitting retirement.
2019 should be a conscious revolution of youth takeover of government on the Plateau, as such we encourage everyone to sweep SENTIMENTS & TRIBAL differences under the carpet; as we embrace our long awaited destiny’s.

HIS VISION STATEMENT:

1. AGRICULTURE-
*Govt will provide improved seeds & affordable fertilizers to farmers
*Govt will partner with farmers & buy all their saleable crops at good price
*Irrigation farmers will be supported so as to keep our state food filled

2. EDUCATION-
*Rural communities will have better & conducive school structures
*All children will have FREE primary schl education, & if our state revenue permits; hopefully at sec schl level
*Tertiary students will have their yearly scholarship allowances resumed & improved

3. TOURISM-
*All tourists centres will be given a face lift & remodelling
*Foreign partnership to invest & provide employment will be promoted

4.CIVIL-SERVICE-
*Govt will sanitize the system & create a healthy employment
*Worn out structures will be rehabilitated
*Payments will be given priority to avoid economic imbalance

5.ENTREPRENEURSHIP-
*Govt will promote youths in skill acquisitions, & give them a start up capital after graduation
*Govt will partner with upcoming independent entrepreneurs to patronize & protect their interests
*Govt will have a yearly competition amongst entrepreneurs in diff fields, & give the winner a fat package

6. HEALTH-
*Govt will rehabilitate & equip rural clinics, & build sizeable accommodations for its staff
*Provision of emergency treatment(accidents) will be sponsored by govt

7. ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY-
*Govt will erect structures that will aid upcoming artists to grow, produce & market their albums
*Govt will partner with professional artists to school, groom & repackage young talents
*Tour through the 17Lg areas will be enhanced, so as to support cultural festive seasons & promote traditional heritage

8. PEACE & SECURITY-
*Govt will partner with civil societies to orient, stabilize & promote peace treaties among locals & visiting friends
*Govt will equip state security personnels with gadgets, cars & financial support, to build on existing peace

9. SOCIAL AMENITIES-
*Provision of good & constant water supply will be prioritize
*Electrifying of rural settlements will be enhanced
*Quality roads will be constructed in all 17Lg areas
*Provision of affordable housing will be build in all parts of Plateau

10. LOCAL GOVT AUTONOMY-
*This is a singular priority that has no option, so as to boast rural livelihood & attract quality development at the grass roots

NOTE 1:
As to Govt appointments:
-Each higher institution on the plateau will have at least two(2) representatives(permanent site/main camp) as ‘Advisers’ to the Governor.
They will be fit for State executive meetings.
-Creation of other ministry’s, which entails additional Commissioners.
E.g: 1.Ministry for Entrepreneurship & Skill acquisition
2.Ministry for Arts & Music industry

NOTE 2:
REVENUE generation will be achieved via Tourism, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, Sports & Agriculture.

EMPLOYMENT will find its roots at all sectors of the plateau economy, not forgetting contracts will be awarded too; giving conscious priority to the youths of Plateau state.

My prior vision is to get every Youth positively established, enough to give our dear PARENTS a befitting retirement in comfort & peace.

Finally, i will like to use this medium to make an honest statement to citizens of Plateau state. If elected into office, government will be the closest thing to a common Man.
My government will be a ‘street government’, meaning we will always be with the people to supervise projects, hear their views, dine with them & if possible sleep under thesame roof.
