As political activities begin to heat up towards the 2015 general elections in Plateau State, a group under the aegis of PDP Youth Vanguard in has advised Governor Jonah Jang to consider one of his loyalists who is credible, transparent, God fearing and has the capacity to continue with the redemption agenda to succeed him.
Amb. Joel Jonathan who is the Leader of the group in a press statement made available to Viewpointnigeria in Jos on Sunday said, the determination of Governor Jang to hand over power to a youth is a project for the entire PDP Youths in the State.
As political activities begin to heat up towards the 2015 general elections in Plateau State, a group under the aegis of PDP Youth Vanguard in has advised Governor Jonah Jang to consider one of his loyalists who is credible, transparent, God fearing and has the capacity to continue with the redemption agenda to succeed him.
Amb. Joel Jonathan who is the Leader of the group in a press statement made available to Viewpointnigeria in Jos on Sunday said, the determination of Governor Jang to hand over power to a youth is a project for the entire PDP Youths in the State.
It noted that Jang should consider a youth who has proper understanding of the redemption agenda, who will uphold the rule of law and has the political will to unit all ethnic nationalities in the State for its overall development.
It reads, “We are deeply in support of the governor’s pronouncement to hand over power to a youth and we will support him. But he must be someone who is credible, God’s fearing who absolutely understand the concept of the redemption agenda and must be a PDP loyalist.
“We don’t want some body who will turn government house into a drinking Joint, we will support a youth who will unit the Church and encourage what is right for proper mentorship of Plateau Youths.
The group commended the PDP led administration for taking the boldsteps in the development of the state and described Jang as one among the best governors that have ruled the state.
Speaking on the zoning controversy in the state, Amb. Jonathan stressed that there has never been zoning in the State.
Adding that no candidate has ever been left unopposed to contest election in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) or in any of the opposition party without a rival, giving instances that, Engr. Jimmy Cheto, John Alkali, Dame Pauline Tallen and Damishi Sango among others, all from the Southern, Central and Northern Senatorial Districts of Plateau State had contested PDP Primaries against governor Jang in 2007 and 2011.
The statement maintained that, the PDP Youth Vanguard are going for a credible and God’s fearing candidate from the core redemption team for continuity of the developmental strides of governor Jang irrespective of the senatorial district, ethnic group and religious affiliation.
The group urged President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the 2015 Presidential seat and assuring him of the usual support of Plateau Youths and the entire citizens
