While some people consider politics to be a dirty game, others see it as an opportunity to touch the lives of people positively. Ahead of the 2015 Plateau North senatorial election, nocturnal permutations are on top gear by those perceived to be jostling for the seat. To a large extent, their actions and inactions suggests to the general public that they will leave no stone unturned to win popular support from the masses. For Plateau North, the game would be seemingly dicey and the race hotter than previous ones given the fact that heavy political weights are eyeing the seat with ample resources to pull crowds. Plateau Northerners and indeed the entire people of plateau are interested in a dynamic and astute representative that would muster the political will in order to help address the vicious scourge of ethno-religious turbulence that had lingered for many years and bring development nearer to the people. Politics as a matter of fact shouldn’t be an instrument of division amongst us. Rather, it should be used as a force for unifying warring factions and conflicting parties. Let Nigerian politics be clean and be characterized by sincerity, truth, justice, equity and fairness devoid of mudslinging, assassinations, division, war and other dirty and diabolical practices. Simple!
