Bununu said, “In the interest of fairness and justice, women need to be encouraged to come out and contest for all elective positions in the forth coming 2015 general election and political appointments Women need more than what they have now.

Hajiya Zainab who once contested for the Chairmanship of Tafawa Balewa Local Government in the State said the participation of women in politics will lead to the development of the states and the country at large and called on students and market women to work hard to ensure they participate and succeeds in the 2015 polls.

She reiterated their commitment to continue support and assist widows and orphans whose parents and husbands were killed in the last Tafawa Balewa ethno- religious crisis.

She appealled to all PDP Governors to respect the 35 percent slots for Women in all their appointments.
