Information available to us indicates that Mr. Yilji Gomwalk, the running mate to Senator GNS Pwajok (the PDP flagbearer in Plateau state) has received ancestral/paternal blessings from traditional and political institution of his community in Kangke LGA.
During a visit to his people in Kangke LGA, traditional incantations were chanted to Ngas ancestors/scions requesting for victory for the PDP. Following that, the traditional leaders asked him to emulate his father (the late Joseph Gomwalk) by being forthright, visionary and trust-worthy.

The district head of Kabwir in Kanke, local government of the state, Morris Danbaba who spoke on behalf of traditional rulers expressed their gratitude to Sen. Gyang Pwajok for finding their son worthy of nomination as his running mate.
Similarly the chairman of Kanke local government area, John Ishaku Gotau said the footprints of late Joseph Gomwalk has catapulted Yilji, his son into political limelight adding that history will repeat itself.
Gatau said Kanke is 100 per cent PDP and urged the people to vote for the party in next month’s general elections.
Earlier, the PDP governorship running mate, Yilji Gomwalk said he was at home to receive the blessings of his people before going to other communities to campaign for the party.
Gomwalk said he cannot afford to fail the people of Kanke and Plateau state because of his background as the son of the first military governor of the defunct Benue/Plateau state Commissioner of Police JD Gomwal
