As the battle for 2015 governorship elections continues to gathered momentum in Plateau State, an aspirant in the State and Senator Representing Plateau South, Sen. Victor Lar, said Governor Jonah Jang will not impose a candidate from Plateau North in the forthcoming PDP primary.

Lar made the disclosure Friday in Jos, when he visited the PDP Secretariat to inform the party of his desire to contest for the governorship of the State and also intimate the party that he will be picking his nomination form next week.

He said, “The right to contest is everybody’s right. Governor Jonah Jang will not produce another aspirant from the Northern Zone, but any person from the zone is free to run.

“The point is the unwritten law of equity and justice, written in the subconsciousness of the Plateau people, will determine where the majority of the voters will vote.

“I have come to intimate my party leaders of my noble intension to present myself for the service of our State by seeking the ticket of the PDP for the governorship of Plateau State.

The lawmaker who said he political journey started 32 years ago, added that, the dearest need of the people of the State is, “Restoration of peace through enhance security and good governance and I will provide just that for the people of Plateau State.

Responding the Acting Chairman of the party in the State, Raymond Dabo, commended him for following the right process by informing the party leadership in the State.

The Acting Chairman who was represented by the Zonal Vice Chairman Central, Hon. Yusuf Tokkit, assured of a level playing ground to all aspirant.
