The Support Unit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Plateau State has concluded preparation to donate 13 state-of-the-art-ambulances to six local government areas (LGAs).
Formerly Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), SDGs has earlier donated hospital equipment, reagent and medicines as well school furniture and other learning materials to the Chairman of Jos North Local Government, Mrs. Theresa Azi.
The SDGs Plateau State Coordinator, Hon. Samuel Damla said the 13-state-of-art-ambulances, unlike the previous ambulances that were used in taking corpses, have emergency kit, stretcher, medical oxygen, spine board, among others.
The coordinator said the SDGs had constructed 36 classrooms, 20 primary health care centres, 17 boreholes and 9 VIP toilets in the rural areas.
The LGAs to benefits are Jos North, Barkin Ladi, Mangu, Kanke, Shandam and Wase respectively.
