Renowned religious leader Prophet Meseke made a high-profile appearance today to honour Prince Miafen on his first day in office following his appointment as the new Commissioner.
Addressing journalists during the reception, the cleric delivered a message centered on love, religious tolerance, and holistic community empowerment, while calling on residents to support the incoming administration.
Reflecting on his core ministry, Prophet Meseke emphasized the fundamental importance of love and unity across all demographics, urging the people of the Plateau state to embrace peaceful coexistence regardless of faith.
“God is a God of love; He is a God of man. God could not just exist without making man, and when you look around, what do you see? Men,” Prophet Meseke stated. “So, I am going to try as much as possible to preach what I am always preaching, which is love, empowerment, and cooperation with one another. Whether Muslim or whatever you are, the Bible says love your neighbor as yourself. My son is now the new commissioner, and I want to assure the people of Plateau that they are going to see sanity restored, in the name of Jesus.”
Prophet Meseke addressed questions regarding his ongoing collaboration with high-profile individuals. When asked if his outreach would extend beyond the entertainment sector to include sports figures, the cleric confirmed that sports development remains a key priority.”Of course,” he noted, referencing notable figures already in attendance. “Like Mr. Algorithm —he is a boxer, and that is a sport. He is here, along with a lot of celebrities in that phase.”
When questioned about potential investments in sports infrastructure—such as establishing a football, basketball, or volleyball club—the prophet signaled strong interest in further exploring athletic initiatives to empower the youth.
The briefing also provided context for the popular slogan “Meseke is Okay,” which has recently gained traction among supporters. Prophet Meseke revealed that the phrase stems from a personal testimony of healing and renewal following a life-threatening health battle.”It means that God gave me another opportunity to lead,” he explained. “I am just recovering from a very dangerous illness that was humanly impossible to survive. God gave me an opportunity to come out of that alive, and Sunday was my special Thanksgiving to say that to the world.”
