Kwalu secure employment to 200 Plateau Youths with NATFORCE

The Former Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State and a frontline aspirant for the House of Representatives to represent Qua’an-Pan, Mika g/Shendam Federal Constituency Abuja under the platform of the PDP Hon. Isaac Kwalu has secured job opportunities to about 200 Plateau youths into the National Taskforce.

He said his moves to secured the opportunities is born out of his discovery of how people from Kano State are coming to fill the quarter meant for Plateau State into the National Taskforce.

Kwalu disclosed this to Journalists shortly after inspecting the documentation exercise as well as the presentation of letter of appointment to beneficiaries
at the Natforce Head office located at 8-Floor Federal Secretariat in Jos the Plateau State capital.

According to Kwalu, “This is not all about politics, soany people gave it different political coloration but it has been proven wrong of those people today, this is inline with my ideology of putting smiles on the face of people.

“It cost me really to secure this 200 slots of the National Taskforce which out of the applicants over 180 scaled through and were today issued their appointment letters.

“Information they say is power and I am in agreement with the assertion, I believe people did not know much about this. I get to know about this and was shock to see people coming from Kano State filling the quarter of Plateau State and that triggered me into ensuring those slots.

“I play my part as a Plateau son knowing fully well the kind of unemployed persons we have in the State, my joy is the smiles on the faces of these young people you see here today,” he explained.

He called on other sons and daughters of Plateau State to step in and ensure that youths in the State and fully engaged with various opportunities that are yet to be explored by Plateau State. “I must commend one of Plateau’s finest House of Representatives Member who I won’t mention name also bought the same forms for youths in her Constituency, I pray that more will do same to help reduce the level of unemployed youths in our state.”

The National Taskforce is an outfit domicile in the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) of Nigeria aimed at prohibiting Illegal Importation/Smuggling of Arms, Ammunition, Light Weapons, Chemical Weapons and Pipeline Vandalism (NATFORCE) in the country.

The outfit according to the office of the National Security Adviser became necessary considering the alarming rate of internal proliferation of weapons within the country which they said has pose a threat to peace and security of lives and properties on a daily basis in the country.

The establishment of the National Taskforce is said to be in line with ECOWAS’s convention for all member nations to established a Centre to curb proliferation of small and light weapons in the sub-region which Nigeria was yet to implement. “ECOWAS is looking up to Nigeria, we have suffered from consequences of small and light arms proliferation,” says Dr. Yakubu Dadu, head of ECOWAS National office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
