The Plateau state chapter of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has inaugurated a committee on the dreaded Ebola virus pandemic currently ravaging some West African countries.
Pokop Bupwatda who is the NMA Chairman in Plateau called on doctors to enlighten people on ways of curtailing the virus while calling urging members to work with Government at all levels to prevent the virus from getting to the state and spreading to the populace.

Pokop Bupwatda who is the NMA Chairman in Plateau called on doctors to enlighten people on ways of curtailing the virus while calling urging members to work with Government at all levels to prevent the virus from getting to the state and spreading to the populace.
He called on Government to put a better surveillance method that will ensure people who are monitored for the virus are confined in their respective domains.
The NMA chairman called on the Federal Government to withdraw the circular sacking 16,000 resident doctors and reinstate them. He advised Government to show commitment to the ongoing dialogue with the doctors rather than heating it up.
The committee set up by the state NMA is headed by Doctor Chingle Moses.
