– Langtang North: At Zangzat polling unit, the electoral officers were said to have arrived at 8:30am and proceeded with voters accreditation. Zangzat is one of the polling units said to have witnessed a good turn-out of voters -these included women, youth and octogenarians. They were therefore constrained to the sidelines.
Still in Langtang, Amb. Nanven Goselle, a gubernatorial aspirant has just been reported to have casted his vote in a polling unit near his locality at Gazum. He was accompanied by his loyalists and aides and was said to have spoken to have interacted with other voters at the unit.
The DPP candidate however berated PLASIEC for what he called a shambolic show of shame, averring that the entire process was characterised by electoral malpractice.
– Pankshin: In Jiblik ward, Rt Hon. Istifanus Mwansat has been reported to have just cast his vote amidst cheers from supporters and youths. Mwansat was said to be the third person to be accredited, because a lot electoral materials were said to have arrived quite late at the polling unit. At the polling unit, there was hardly any security presence, but voting was said to have been progressing without hitches.
– Jos South: In Kuru district, large voter turn out was reported and the election was said to be ongoing smoothly. In Anglo Jos polling unit, voting was said to have been progressing smoothly -albeit the fact that a lot of voters had misplaced their voter registration cards. Several security personnel were present at the scene calming any frayed nerves.
